2019 Chiefs Advance to Championship Game in Syracuse MSBL for First Time in 20 Years

Syracuse MSBL

By Devin Reschke, Chiefs manager

The Syracuse MSBL Chiefs finished their season with a 12-4 record. Pitching carried us throughout the entire season striking out 205 batters in 142 innings with a final combined E.R.A. of 1.711. The team has slowly been evolving into a family affair with brothers Jeremy (OF) and Justin (OF) Mathers, father and son Kyle (OF) and Dan (3B, C) Dalton and Uncle/Nephew Tim (1B) and Ryan (RHP) Fennell on the squad.

The Chiefs finished with a final batting average on .291, which included seven home runs. We look to better ourselves next season with the addition of right-handed pitcher Corey Poplawski and some new faces in the infield. This was the first year in over 20 years that the Chiefs have made it to the Championship game!
